There is so much to learn, so much to experience, at the beach.

Do you think the man is teaching the boy something about sea life, or life on the beach, or what the beach is all about? Is he showing him an interesting shell or rock he found? Maybe he is showing him a piece of frosted beach glass? Do you teach your children when you are on the beach?

Dunedin, Florida: Honeymoon Island Beach: Kayak Fishing

Foolish or Brave? It's not for me to say.

But I will say this... the word precarious came to mind as watched these guys set out in their inflatable kayak to go fishing. In some ways it doesn't make sense. But as I know a few young men who would go out in almost anything, just to get out on the water and be fishing, I think I understand what might drive these two young men to get on this thing and go fishing.

I love that the beach is an everyone kind of place.

When I think about the beach, it seems like the kind of place that we can all enjoy. Some more than others, some less, but most everyone can enjoy the beach. That is probably because you can experience it with any of the five senses, without having to work at it. What about you, have you been to a beach lately?

Dunedin, Florida: A Treehouse Grows In Dunedin

And by the by... on the way out to Honeymoon Island for a walk on the beach, DW spotted this way cool treehouse!

This is a pretty 'citified' area around here, and one just does not expect to find a treehouse like this. I LOVE TREEHOUSES!!! Did you know that there are builders out there who specialize in building treehouses for ADULTS... yes, like YOU and ME!!!

Dunedin, Florida: Colorful Dunedin Real Estate Market

I have to interrupt our trip to Honeymoon Island for a spot of color!

I have been scoping out the Dunedin Real Estate market recently. The other day I stepped out into a garage, and look what I found! This was in a garage that was actually being included in the square footage of the house, they say, because there was an A/C vent out there, and flooring, and they had insulated the garage door! YIKES!

Dunedin, Florida: Honeymoon Island Beach For The Dogs

On the other hand, if you don't feel like bringing the family, or the kids, you could just bring your dog instead!

That's right, as I have posted about before, Honeymoon Island has a big, beautiful beach area set aside where you can bring your pet. I have only ever seen dogs out there so far, but who knows... maybe you have a cat that likes the beach! There is even a dog washing station right at the edge of the parking lot. Pretty cool.

Come to the beach at Honeymoon Island. Bring your family, and enjoy the sun and sand and waves.

The beach is a great place to enjoy your family, and get to know them a little better. It's wonderful to watch families playing on the beach, spending some quality time together.
