Dunedin, Florida: Dog Mural Painting: Skip's Bar & Grill: Anna Hamilton

I took a photo stroll around Delightful Downtown Dunedin the other day, during my lunch break from my day job. It's always nice to get a chance to catch up with Downtown and see what's new. That's when I came across this woman painting dogs on the side wall of Skip's Bar and Grill. Interesting, I thought, and headed over for a closer look. That's when I met Anna Hamilton, mural painter.

It turns out that a neat idea for a wall mural turned into a local phenomenon, complete with support for the local Dunedin Doggie Rescue organization. I realized I had a closer, better snap of Skip's Bar & Grill, of the night life scene, so I wanted to get it posted. Yeah, I just posted a very similar picture of Skip's the other day, but I want to post this one too. Yeah, fun how that works, eh?

What are you doing today? It's Sunday afternoon when I am posting this, and I had a wonderful morning kayaking out on Tampa Bay. I hope you are having a good day too. Phelps sure is, isn't he! I mean, WOW, EIGHT MEDALS!!! Good for him!

Dunedin, Florida: Night Life Scene At Skip's Bar & Grill

I've seen Skip's plenty of times during the day, when it looks like it is sleeping. But only rarely have I had an opportunity to check out the night life. Sadly, when I took this picture, I wasn't able to stop and enjoy it either. But I did enjoy taking the snap.

From what I hear about Skips', it's a great 'neighborhood' kind of hang out. You can relax, have a drink, enjoy the night air, enjoy your friends, and enjoy the strangers around you who are slowly becoming friends. Sounds pretty cool, eh? Corner of Main and Douglas in Downtown Dunedin.
