I had thought the people who manage Honeymoon Island State Park must be pretty cool, when I heard they have a pet beach. But then, when I got there and saw this, I thought "These people are AWESOME!". I mean, this is like considering the whole deal instead of just throwing up some signs and leaving it at that. It is so nice to see them making the effort for those 'alternate family members' that we love so much.

My little white dog always sits down and gets very still when I ask him if he'd like a bath. I think that is his way of saying "No". So here he'd just take a drink of water from the bowl and pad around on the wet boards for a moment or two, then merrily resume his walk along the trail.
ReplyDeleteI love dogs and still miss my last one. I would think this is a special place to consider them as part of their facilities. We have some state parks here in Ohio and most are well used and not spiffy like motels or lodges might be. Some allow animals and some don't.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for your visit.
Now I've seen it all! Glad they were thinking of our 4 legged friends!
ReplyDeleteDog Parks are the "in" thing in Nashville these days. The one they put in the park near here encompasses two acres where dogs can romp together and have fun unstresses. Usually, they play very well together.
ReplyDeleteMy two dogs love to go, but they head for the humans on the sides instead. They want to be petted. It's very funny to watch.
In answer to your question on my blog . . . Our backyard is actually a postage stamp. ;-) There are, however, a few pastures behind us, giving us the feeling of not being right onw top of everyone else.
