Wood Storks on the roof! Does having 6 Wood Storks on your roof mean you just got 6 babies? Wow, that would be something! I snapped this group while out for a walk one day, and found myself thinking "I wish they would come and hang out on MY roof!" Not because I want them to bring me babies, just because they are so cool. But then, there is probably something bad about having Wood Storks hanging out on your roof, although I cannot imagine what that would be.
I find these birds fascinating. They seem so regal, so wise, so aged. I would not be at all surprised to find that they each live to 500 years old, and that most of them alive today saw Columbus discover America. Okay, back to reality.
