International Plaza, International Mall, whatever you want to call it... is still a big, fancy mall with a lot of cool stores, located just across the bay in Tampa. With all the neat stores, I just couldn't resist taking a picture of this dining court area. Not quite the food court, but arranged so you could bring food from nearby to sit and eat. I like it. Yes, that is a Starbucks coffee shop at the top of the picture! You might need some coffee as you make your way through the likes of Nordstrom, Dillard's, and Neiman Marcus!
This is a pretty cool mall, with a sort of add-on called Bay Street. Bay Street is like walking down some cool downtown area with neat shops and restaurants. Some of the restaurants include The Cheese Cake Factory and The Gallery Eclectic Bistro, where we ate that day. It was very good! Oh, and let's not forget the bar... The Blue Martini. The Blue Martini is very popular around here, featuring "25 superior martinis made to excite the senses and elevate the spirit".

Beautiful. A beautiful mall and a lovely open space next to the places selling food. It is a reminder of our long-ago Mall on Salem Avenue. What a place. Thousands of places to park your car and excellent to just find a bench and watch people. Then slowly, the thugs began to move in and beat the hell out of people for no reason. People stopped coming. One store closed or moved, then another until it seemed like a flood going uphill. Now not even the building is there. It is all history and who would have ever thought it.
ReplyDeleteAll of the different shapes and patterns, kinda makes ya dizzy. Maybe I should avoid malls.
