The photo above was taken from side street just a few blocks north of Downtown Dunedin, just north of the Dunedin Marina. I have never seen this spinnaker before. But it is a pretty little craft, and certainly speaks to the spirit of Florida Living. It looks like fun, doesn't it?
The body of water they are sailing upon is called St. Joseph Sound by some people, or Clearwater Harbor by others, and makes up part of the Intracoastal Waterway . The trees in the background are on Caladesi Island, which is also Caladesi Island State Park. To get to the Gulf Of Mexico from here, you either go a little further south to Clearwater Pass, or you go a little north to Hurricane Pass. In fact, over the next several days, I will bring you more images of sunny winter water fun along the Dunedin Causeway, including boating activity in Hurricane Pass.

Oh, Wayne!! My type of weather and fun!
ReplyDeleteI also liked the Christmas parade you showed yesterday. . . .'Tis the season!
Sorry I've been quiet. . . .I've been out of town and have had limited internet access.
Very good picture, its so clear and crisp. The subject is pretty neat also.
ReplyDeleteThe frog took me by suprise, it's as if it jumped out of the water and landed smack against the sail. Nice photo of sunny winter weather. Maybe your blog will keep some of us warm during our winter weather.
ReplyDeleteOoooohhhh, nice!!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, you mean you've been sleeping less than four and a half hours a day for two weeks? That's a very bad thing to do! I'm currently dealing with insomnia (comes and goes), but I've never been a "morning person" so even if I go to bed at two in the morning, I still can get at least six hours of sleep.
Take good care of yourself, Wayne, OK?
(And, if you could send some warm air this way, it'd be greatly appreciated. Brrrr!)
oh, my! what a winter! a great place to escape this ugly rain here!
ReplyDeleteLucky them! The weather looks great! And the red frog is so cool!
