I know this is in Pioneer Park, in the City of Dunedin, but I am not sure one would call it a band shell. Stage perhaps, covered stage? Either way, it is a lovely structure, and it looks great in this park downtown. I can also tell you that they have a
Green Market here, and show movies in the park here from time to time. Usually older movies. Some recent titles have been Arsenic and Old Lace, as well as Casablanca.
From here, many shops and restaurants are in walking distance. They are too many to name, but some that I have mentioned before include Casa Tina, Cafe Alfresco, The Enchanted Branch Gift Gallery, and Palm Latitudes. In the future, you will see more and more of these places, as I do my best to capture life in Dunedin, Florida in pixels, for you.
:) and we thank you for the journey in such comfort. It is a lovely square - nice to see that there is community spirit.
ReplyDeleteyeah , i think it's a great community over there . thank you for sharing .
ReplyDeletei have no idea about the red dot from my sunset so i have to go for the ufo answer ... hahaha
Wayne, this looks like a great place to live and play! Your pics are awesome. The contrast in this is great. Thanks for sharing Dunedin with us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to bring people together for simple fun. Just bring a blanket to sit on.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't mind viewing Casablanca at the park, not at all! This is a great photograph of community spirit, as already mentioned, but I have to say it too. :)
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how much fun it is to attend events at this part of Pioneer Park. Wow.
ReplyDeleteAnd you do such a wonderful job! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI can see myself visiting that green market daily (cooking is my hobby so you can imagine).
Have a nice week ahead! :)
Sharp color and contrast. Great shot. Looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Wayne,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! And I'm glad you enjoyed touring Singapore. Things aren't exactly as bad here compared to the Third World but when you're really living in the country itself, things always seem gloomy. A tourist sees mostly bright cheery stuff. :)
And oh, I know of another Dunedin...in New Zealand! That was one city I short-listed for my plans to migrate.
How's life in your city? Bustling or tranquil?
