Did I mention the trails in Dunedin? Oh yeah, Dunedin has many places to walk, skate, or ride bikes. This trail is not the same as the one on Edgewater Drive. This trail is part of the Pinellas Trail, which runs north-south for 34 miles through our county. But here in Dunedin, it goes through one of the best parts of town. You can stop off from the trail and enjoy a variety of dining opportunities, as well as shopping and sightseeing. And you can see from the cruved sign post, they make it all very artistic. This sign gives a nod to the origins of the space, an old railroad corridor.
To the left, just outside the view, is a wonderful restaurant called
Cafe Alfresco. They have an oen air section where you can watch the trail users go by as you enjoy a fabulous meal. It's a great place for a Downtown Dunedin lunch! What can I say, Dunedin, Florida is a great place to visit and a great place to live. Come on down and check it out!

A 34 mile cycle trail! you must have a bike, right?:)
ReplyDeleteThose trails look great - and yesterday's photo is a triumph!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for comments. 'Bottled out' means chickened out - lacking courage - which I did at actually entering a cave!
Love the post, the trail, the links (if Cafe Alfresco's dishes are as good as their prices, that's a perfect place - I like their "Wednesday pasta" theme).
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Your post is very similar to mine!!!!!! We are both interested in riding bikes :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pic! I have been on parts of this trail in St. Pete. What a great recreational resource. When I lived in Virginia I was about a mile from a trail that ran from Leesburg all the way to Washington D.C.
ReplyDeletetks so much for your comments . really inspiring . great sign post . "come on down and check it out" ? ... hahaha . i wish it's that easy . i like your passion for dunedin , unfortunately i can't say the same for my city ...
ReplyDeletehahaha
Great use of an old RR line. 34 miles huh? How about I last until the first sweet shop?
ReplyDeleteLove any and all bike trails. Thanks for the ride by Fort Lauderdale!
ReplyDeleteI might walk along with Jim and stop with him for an ice cream or something. But truth be told, cities that make places for walking are much more attractive than ones with sprawl.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Lovely. Everything is so picture perfect.
